Community Dialogue Project
The overarching intention of this new project is changing the social norms that promote violence in intimacy. Program initiatives currently include:
Groups for survivors where popular movie excerpts are shown to evoke discussions about gender roles, abuse, relationships, and the ways men and women learn and unlearn harmful social norms.
Groups for professionals and students to discuss using restorative justice concepts in serving survivors.
Victim Impact Panels: domestic violence survivors telling their stories to men who have battered.
