Community Dialogue Project

The overarching intention of this new project is changing the social norms that promote violence in intimacy. Program initiatives currently include:

  • Groups for survivors where popular movie excerpts are shown to evoke discussions about gender roles, abuse, relationships, and the ways men and women learn and unlearn harmful social norms.
  • Groups for professionals and students to discuss using restorative justice concepts in serving survivors.
  • Victim Impact Panels: domestic violence survivors telling their stories to men who have battered.
