SafePlace events raise awareness, educate the public, recognize community supporters and raise much-needed funds. To keep updated on all events register to receive our e-newsletters.

Special Events

Annually, special events are produced by SafePlace in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (April) and Domestic Violence Awareness Month (October). These events bring supporters together to learn more about the issues, pay tribute to survivors, celebrate the successes of the organization and survivors and raise much needed funds to build on these successes.

Community Events

There are different types of community events which raise community awareness and offer SafePlace the opportunity to engage the community.

SafePlace hosts events and campaigns the entire community can participate in to learn more, show their support of the agency, build community for survivors or encourage others to join the SafePlace mission. By exploring the impact of sexual and domestic violence, opening the dialogue and bringing light to myths we can come together as a community to end this violence.

SafePlace is fortunate that many individuals, businesses, groups and partnering organizations host Community Fundraising Events across Austin. These events are a great way to support SafePlace while having fun! These event hosts are important to help raise awareness as well as much needed funds.
