SafePlace exists to help women, children and men who have survived sexual or domestic violence.  Through community contributions, individuals come together to make an impact on the lives of thousands of survivors.  There are many ways you can give in support of the programs and services that are so vital to our continued success.

Make a Donation

We make it easy for you to give a secure online credit card donation or a sustained monthly gift.*  If you choose to make your gift in honor or in memory of someone, we will send an acknowledgement and recognize your gift in our online listing.

Ask your employer’s Human Resources department to learn if your employer will match your gift to SafePlace.

Other ways to donate include leaving a gift in your will through Planned Giving or a gift of stock that may be fully tax deductible.

Of course, you may always send a gift by mail.  Please make your check payable to SafePlace and send gifts to:
P.O. Box 19454, Austin, TX 78760.

Community Giving

There are many ways for corporations, local businesses, community organizations and community-minded individuals to get involved in what we do including supporting and sponsoring events, volunteering as a group, contributing goods and services or hosting a fundraiser or donation drive.

180° - Turning Lives Around

180° is a membership group of donors who join together to support SafePlace and its work with a gift of $1,000 or more.

Host a Community Event

Host a fundraiser or a donation drive and give your family, friends, coworkers, customers and others an opportunity to give to SafePlace while having a good time.

Donate New and Gently-used Items

SafePlace accepts donations of new and gently used items at the Gil Crane Warehouse.  Our wish list is a list of items that we most desperately need on a daily basis to help our clients feel more secure while they are here.  We also accept donations of cell phones and vehicles.

You may want to host a donation drive that focuses on particular items from the wish list.  There are other opportunities to join us during The Holiday Giving Program and other annual donation events sponsored by SafePlace.

Give Your Time

In addition to the many opportunities we offer to provide funds and items to support our mission and help survivors heal, the gift of time is always needed at SafePlace.  Opportunities are listed in the volunteer section of the website.

We deeply value the contributions that our donors make to sustain our mission.  To protect the privacy of our donors and their special relationship with SafePlace:

  • We do not trade or sell our donor lists to other organizations.
  • We offer donors the option to be recognized anonymously.
  • Donors may request that they not be solicited in the future.
  • Donors may request not to receive mailings, such as our newsletter.
  • Donors interested in learning more about how to support SafePlace or how we are stewarding your gift, please opt-in to receive our newsletters.

*Contrary to warnings occasionally issued by some internet browsers, our donation form is secure. We do not store account numbers, and we use a trusted vendor (GeoTrust) to process all electronic transactions. For more information, click on the GeoTrust logo at the bottom of the donation page and view our SSL certificate, which ensures a secure transaction between your computer and our website. Please contact our database coordinator, Hunter Graham, at hgraham@safeplace.org with any further questions.
