Information Systems Database Manager
This position supports the organization’s mission and goals through the design, development, administration and assurance of ongoing integrity of agency data. It is critical that the Information Systems Database Manager understand the vast array of services offered to agency clients and the community. SafePlace’s primary data collection tool is a web-based product called Online Data Manager (ODM) developed by Austin-based Community TechKnowledge (CTK). We use this in conjunction with tools such as MySQL, MS Access, and other MS Office Products to extrapolate and report accurate statistics to governmental and philanthropic funders and to create forms and reports for service management needs. Our ideal candidate will employ exceptional customer service strategies to create data solutions and provide technical guidance and training to agency staff. The position will document processes, provide Custodian of Records administrative functions for the agency, and work with the external database designer to ensure the system is structurally responsive to meet the agency’s data collection, tracking and reporting needs.
Requirements: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related discipline (may be willing to consider professional experience in lieu of education); 2+ years of experience providing database management and support, preferably in a non-profit, human service environment; demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and Access) and databases; strong understanding of relational database management; ability to produce accurate, understandable and timely communications and technical documentation; intermediate to advanced knowledge and familiarity of MySQL and database queries; background in providing exceptional technical service and support to a broad range of audience types; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with technical and non-technical staff; demonstrated commitment to data integrity, confidentiality, and meeting deadlines. Grants Financial Manager - $40,000-$50,000/year
The Grants Financial Manager manages all financial aspects of the government grants functions of LIFT Alliance. The Grants Financial Manager is responsible for governmental grants budgeting, billing, reporting, revisions, and file maintenance. Responsibilities include provision of financial information to support philanthropic grant application and reporting. Additional duties include cash account reconciliation. Requirements: Degree in Accounting, or at least four (4) years’ equivalent experience; demonstrated knowledge of governmental grant programs with relevant job experience; good working knowledge of accounting software capabilities, knowledge of Sage-MIP Fund Accounting software preferred; strong organization and problem solving skills; ability to take initiative in addressing issues that need improvement; ability to work unsupervised; and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Disability Services Educator/Trainer - $32,000 - $34,000/year
Position will work collaboratively with project coordinator/educator to implement day-to-day activities for a demonstration project to support people with developmental disabilities to have healthy and meaningful relationships. Provides training/education and explores opportunities with persons with developmental disabilities to expand personal relationships. Must be able to work collaboratively and maintain excellent working relationships with external partner agencies, consultants and an advisory group. Position also provides education/training on topics related to sexual violence prevention with persons with disabilities and disability service providers. Must interact and respond sensitively to people with a variety of disabilities and backgrounds (e.g., living in state supported living centers, group homes, etc.). Position is grant funded for only 1-year. Requirement: 4-year degree in Education/Social Work/Rehabilitation Counseling/Psychology or related field (or experience commensurate with degree). Must have excellent organizational skills and a solution-focused problem solving style. Need at least 1-year experience working with people with cognitive/developmental disabilities; education and training skills; and a good understanding of service and relationship barriers and experience integrating people with disabilities into community-based programs. Position requires strong belief in self-determination, empowerment, choice, opportunity and options for people with a range of disabilities.. Requires reliable transportation. Substitute Teacher - $10.00/hour
The Substitute Teacher is responsible for the physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual development of all the children entrusted in their care. Maintains good relationships with the parents of each child. Requirements: Must have a minimum of a high school diploma, CDA or 12 plus hours in child development/early education or related field preferred; At least one year experience working with children 3 months to 5 years of age; Must have or be willing to obtain First Aid and CPR training.
